Watch the Trailer!

Nicolas Roeg's stunning debut as solo director makes breathtaking use of its Australian outback
locations. When a teenage girl (Jenny Agutter) and her brother are abandoned in the outback
following their father's suicide, they have to learn to fend for themselves in the natural world.
Along the way, they meet a young Aboriginal (David Gulpilil) on his 'walkabout'. What develops
is a tale of thwarted love across cultural barriers and a haunting meditation on time and civilisation.
